This feature uses AWS Face Liveness to verify users’ live presence through video prompts, tailored across 1Centre’s four sales channels to deliver enhanced protection while maintaining a seamless experience.

What is Biometric Verification?

Biometric verification uses unique biological characteristics—particularly facial features—to confirm an individual’s identity. During 1Centre’s onboarding, users capture a brief selfie video analyzed by Face Liveness technology to detect spoofing attempts such as printed photos, digital images, or 3D masks. This approach ensures only legitimate users complete onboarding while allowing businesses to customize security measures by sales channel based on associated risk levels.

Introducing Face Liveness

Face Liveness analyzes short selfie videos using sophisticated algorithms to identify various spoofing techniques, including 2D photos, videos, 3D masks, pre-recorded content, and deepfake technology. The system verifies genuine users, detects presentation attacks, and prevents bypass attempts using synthetic or recorded videos.
